Teacher Appreciation 2023

  • Welcome to 6th Grade Math and Science!

     

    I am very excited about the 23-24 school year at Las Brisas!  I have been in education for 19 years. I have taught 6th grade, 4th grade, and middle school. I have a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Teacher Supervision and certificates for Teacher, Principal and Superintendent.

     

    I support a classroom atmosphere of collaboration, exploration, curiosity, discovery, fun, and challenge.  I believe that students can learn from their peers as well as look forward to achieving academic success.

     

    I am originally from Michigan and attended Michigan State University.  My wife and I have 4 children in our home from ages 8 to 14. I am blessed to be able to be back in the classroom.  My favorite sport is ice hockey, which I played for 12 years.  

     

    I am looking forward to a great year with all of the 6th grade students!

    1:20-2:45: DreamBox (10) and Math (Walk up to Math 5th graders, WUTM 6th graders to Ms. Hormel)
