Mr. Patrick Fisher
Hello Thunderbolts!
My name is Patrick Fisher, 7th Grade Math teacher for the 24-25 School Year at Desert Sky MS.
This will be my second year as a full-time teacher with Desert Sky and I couldn't be more excited! I started working with Desert Sky with two tenures as a Long-Term Sub in both 7th Grade ELA and 8th Grade Math over the course of the 22-23 school year. I fell in love with the students and staff here at Desert Sky and am so happy to be a full-time member on this beautiful campus.
I was born in New Orleans, Louisiana - home of Mardi Gras parades, crawfish boils, and a few too many hurricanes. My family moved a good amount over the years, from Louisiana to Virginia, Indiana, then back again to Louisiana before finally settling here in sunny Arizona. I attended high school right here in the Deer Valley School District, graduating from Boulder Creek High School in Anthem. I spent two years in Tucson at the University of Arizona before moving back up to Phoenix to complete my Bachelor's at ASU.
After finishing my degree, I spent some time working as a sub in a few different schools across DVUSD until I made my way over to Desert Sky. After just one week here, I knew I wanted to stay and sub for the rest of that year. Between the enthusiasm and support of all the teachers, admin and staff to welcome me and the truly awesome students I got to teach and interact with, I was hooked!
Beyond school and teaching, I love both reading and writing, watching movies, music, skiing and rugby. You'll probably see me at as many school events as I can get to - basketball games, cheer competitions, and student dances - make sure to come say hi!
Here's to a great school year!
