Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Koenig

This is my first year teaching.  I have worked in education for five years as a Paraprofessional and Instructional Assistant.  Additionally, I have taught art at the college level and to high schoolers and adults.   I am excited and honored to be starting my teaching career at Village Meadows in third grade.

I attended Western Washington University and earned a B.A. in printmaking and a B.F.A. in painting.  I continued my studies at U.C. Santa Barbara, where I earned an M.F.A. in studio art.

My path to teaching is not traditional, but I am passionate about teaching and learning. I strongly believe that every child deserves a quality education and every child can learn.

In my spare time, I like to kayak and ride bikes with my family.  We also enjoy fostering animals for the Arizona Humane Society.
