    I am so excited to have your child in my class this year!! I can't wait to see all the amazing things they will do in second grade! 

     

    DAILY SCHEDULE: 

    8:30-8:45: Gates Open and Students Arrive
    8:45-9:30: Specials
    (Day 1-PE, Day 2-Music, Day 3-Art, Day 4-PE, Day 5-Music, Day 6-Art) 
    9:30-10:30:   ELA
    10:30-11:00: Writing 
    11:00-11:15: Snack/Recess
    11:15- 12:35 Math 
    12:35-1:20: Lunch/Recess
    1:20-2:00: Reading Groups 
    (Mandarin on Day 2 only during this time)
    2:00-2:30: Small Groups & Intervention/Extension
    2:30-3:20: Science & Social Studies
    3:20-3:30: Clean - up & Dismissal 
     
     
    Communication: 
     
     I have two forms of communication, email and Class Dojo. Class Dojo will be my primary contact.
    • Every Sunday, I will send out our classroom newsletter. This will include upcoming events, learning targets, and reminders.
    • I will send home that same newsletter on Monday in their take-home folders.

    Second Form of Communication

    Reply Time: Please allow me 24-48 hours to reply to your emails. I am pretty good at responding fairly quickly, but sometimes the days are busy and I fall behind!! I will not reply during the school day from 8:45am-3:30pm, always call the office if you need me to know something immediately!
