We've surveyed other districts and the outside industry to offer a competitive salary. The average salaries of our teacher have increased 12% year-over-year, while other positions have seen increases of 28% or more over the past five years.

Pension

As a district employee working more than twenty (20) hours per week, you are required to register as a member with Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS). ASRS is a Defined Benefit Plan and will provide lifelong monthly benefits upon retirement.

Days Off

We offer a variety of schedules and up to 32 days off in the 2023-24 school year! This schedule allows you to have time for the things that are most important to you. *Your schedule may vary based on your position.

Mentoring

Our Mentor team provides support to new certified DVUSD teachers, helping them become familiar with the culture and expectations of their school and district. This includes providing systems of support to year-one and year-two teachers through specified training and meetings.
