I must to say that I love my job. A question i asked myself once “ what do I want to do with my career for the rest of my life” when I was thinking of switching my career. I assume lots of people have this kind of thought at some point of their lives. A voice came up “ a meaning job besides a monthly pay check. ” That would be either nurse or my current job as a teacher. I am not confident with myself enough that I am capable of taking care of sick people. I assured myself again that I am in the career i want to be after the soul searching.
Some highlights I like about being a teacher. Working with kids is rewarding: why work with stressed out adults when you can fill your days surrounded by fun, enthusiastic, honest and genuinely curious youngsters? Kids are cute and you may just find yourself growing attached to your students as you learn and grow together. Even the more challenging students will leave a lasting impact on you. You get to be a lifelong learner: I love to learn and my students teach me something new every day. Hopefully I am making a difference: A huge influence that makes I want to become a teacher is the fulfillment it provides. I do hope that I can make an impact on someone’s life, even just one. There is no denying the immense satisfaction teachers experience.
I am fortunate enough to be in the right place to do my job. I love Sierra Verde. This community (the staff, the parents, and the students) has been providing me lots of supports and helping me become a better teacher.
Travel is one of my passions. I have been backpacking to 40 countries so far and the number is just going to keep going up. Hiking, backpacking to wildness, and road trips are some other things I enjoy doing as well. America is a huge country. The road trips always make me realized that I am so lucky to be here.
