19-20 Home Learning Update

    Dear Families,

On Monday, March 30, our Governor Doug Ducey and Superintendent of Public Instruction Kathy Hoffman announced that, due to COVID-19, all Arizona schools would remain closed for the remainder of the year. He has issued an executive order urging Arizonans to stay home. The order takes effect at 5pm, on March 31, 2020. DVUSD will continue to communicate with families and Home Learning will continue for the remainder of the school year.

In an effort to stay connected and for students to keep learning, the district and second grade team have been working to put a few things in place.

My website is where you can stay updated and aware of all that we are doing to support you and your child.

Beginning April 6, teacher-directed online instruction, as well as home packets, will begin. Teacher-directed instruction will continue for the remainder of this school year.  Look for a link on my website labeled Weekly Learning Plan.

I will be also be posting regularly scheduled office hours through Zoom so we can stay connected.

    In the meantime...

Week of March 30 - April 3:   The District CIAS team has put together some online enrichment activities to use for home learning  Please visit the district website or click the link below to access these resources.   Home Learning Link.

As always, please contact me with any questions or concerns. I will continue to use Class Dojo as my main form of communication- so please check in often!
