Fourth Grade Teacher
Greenbrier Elementary School
My name is Frances Beermann. This is my 17th year teaching at Greenbrier. Before coming to Greenbrier, I had taken some time away from teaching to be with my children while we moved from Kansas City, MO, to Ponca City, OK and finally to Glendale, AZ.
My family and I love Arizona, we have never lived in such a breath-taking state. We love it all...the mountains, the desert sunsets, the numerous canyons and, yes, even the heat. Although our current heat is a bit much :) I enjoy hiking at Thunderbird Park and other area parks. My current form of self-care has been riding my bike in the wash area near our home and to school. My husband and I enjoy soccer. Our new "cheap" date night is attending the men's and women's soccer games at GCU.
I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education/Social Studies from the University of Wyoming and my Master's degree in Special Education and Elementary Education endorsement from Arizona State University. Before teaching, I worked with adults with disabilities in Laramie, Wyoming.
This will be my eighth year working as a 4th grade classroom teacher. I have been working with 4th, 5th and 6th grade students since joining Greenbrier Elementary, as a Special Education Teacher. I am excited to start the new school year and I am looking forward to getting to know all of you.
If you have any questions for me please feel free to call or email. I will be happy to meet with you and answer any questions I can.
