Welcome to the new school year.  I am so excited to begin another year of learning.  At Paseo Hills we have Angelica Zamora, a knowledgeable Instructional Assistant and Laura Martinez, an amazing EL Specialist, in addition to myself, to help serve the needs of our EL students and families.  Together we have over 120 years of teaching experience.  So, please do not hesitate to reach out to one of us if you have questions or concerns.  We are here to help make this year a success!

Some things to know about this year...

• Mrs. Martinez and I will be meeting with your EL student 45-60 minutes a day to focus on Targeted English Instruction using the English Language Proficiency Standards mandated by the state.  
• Mrs. Zamora will be available to work with your child during Targeted English Instruction as well as in their homeroom classes.
• We work with your child's teacher to stay current with their curriculum so that we can assist your child using the strategies that they are learning during their instruction time.  
• During Targeted English Instruction, we use GLAD strategies to support content and language integration.
