Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year!

This is my 14th year teaching middle school Math.  I am so happy and proud to be teaching at Sonoran Foothills. Our students are hard workers who truly push themselves to grow and learn in Math class. The 7th Grade Math passing scores and growth scores on the AZMerit test, were the highest in the Deer Valley School District for the 2018-2019 school year.

7th Grade Math is the foundation for high school Math and beyond! Students need a deep understanding of why and how 7th grade Math works in order to make connections in the upper Math classes. In my class you will see students engaged in class work through a varitey of strategies that challenge each individual at the appropriate level. My goal is for each student to become more confident in their Math skills/ability and become logical thinkers.

I'm here to help your student be successful. Parents are also an important part of their success. We are all a team. Please communicate with me any questions or concerns thru email: Hylari.Villamar@dvusd.org

    Materials needed for Math class:
