    In this course, students will develop skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening.  The course of study is first determined by the needs and priorities identified on the Individual Education Plan (IEP), which is linked to the state standards that students are expected to learn. The instruction for IEP goals is embedded into the daily activities.  These activities are relevant to the lives and needs of the students, relate to other events in the day or week and will have applications beyond the classroom.  Strategies are designed to address the diverse learning needs and modifications of students.  Reading, writing, and vocabulary are emphasized daily for all students.  Individual learning needs will be supported.
