Mr. Paul Roads
I am originally from Terre Haute, Indiana where I attended, taught, and served as an Assistant Principal at North Vigo High School. I also served as an Assistant Principal at North Vermillion Junior/Senior High School and later served as their Superintendent of Schools for seven years. I provided administrative leadership at North Vermillion for 12 years over a 14 year period.
Prior to becoming an administrator, I taught special education and technology education. My teaching and administrative experience encompasses school corporations of various sizes ranging from small, medium, to the fifth largest in Arizona and Indiana.
I have an extensive background in: administration and leadership at the classroom, building, central office, and multiple district levels. In addition, I have experience and knowledge regarding: curriculum alignment, one to one technology integration, Structured English Immersion, school finance, negotiations, labor relations, school policy, safe schools, collective bargaining, special education school law and I am well versed in Performance Based Evaluation Systems, including RISE.
I maintain the following valid Arizona and Indiana Licensure: Special Education, K-12, Secondary Administration and Supervision, and Superintendent’s certification.
My entire teaching and administrative career is centered around and continues to be driven by educational servant leadership. Upon relocating to Arizona, my education and administrative career went full circle with me returning to teaching special education at Sandra Day O’Connor High School for students in grades 9-12, ranging in age from 14 to 21.
