SAGE MISSION STATEMENT We, the Students of SAGE, are here to learn by challenging ourselves to become, Critical Thinkers. We want to learn more than we would in the regular classroom, to help us prepare for college and our future success. We will do this by working to the best of our ability, respecting each other and having fun!
Welcome to Terramar's SAGE Program Philosophy ~ Students explore their world and beyond through literature, science, social studies, the arts, and mathematics. The program balances both accelerated skills and enrichment activities as students expand their knowledge and imaginations. Creativity and individualism along with the importance of cooperation is nurtured and developed. Opportunities are provided for students to touch, feel, and experience what they are learning in both reading and math through real world applications and connections. SAGE is currently offered for students in grades 3-6 as a replacement for ELA. Math is offered as a walk up opportunity to advance a grade level. Students may attend for one or both of those subjects. The curriculum that is followed in SAGE is the Deer Valley USD approved curriculum and incorporates common core for both reading and math. Students will cover all grade level state standards at an accelerated pace.
