     WELCOME TO SECOND GRADE!

    Dear Students and Families:

I am happy to welcome you to our online learning for the first quarter of the 2020-2021 school year!  We will be using Canvas for all of our learning.  You will be able to access all of the daily activiites, lessons and Zoom through Canvas.  Canvas will have a homepage that will include weekly announcements also.  You will be receiving an email from me with information about how to get onto Canvas, along with your student's log in information.  Here also is a link those instructions:

Remember the DVUSD homepage has a link for technology support for parents too.  Technology help for parents

Our first week will include getting to know each other activities, learning our rules for online learning, and how to's on using Canvas and Zoom.  Please note that the Reading Specialists will be testing our students on Tuesday also.  More information will be coming about that.

Below you will see our schedule for next week.  A new schedule will be posted for the following week when our lessons will begin.

The best way to contact me will be the email below.  Please note that I will return your emails as soon as possible during the day, but it may be at the end of our school day. This will be a journey for all of us.  I want to support your student and you in every way I can.  Remember we will be learning this together!

    Wishing you all the best,

    Mrs. Alfich
