Hello, my name is Ryan Chance and I will be your son/daughter’s physical education teacher this year. This will be my fifth year at Greenbrier Elementary and have taught elementary P.E. for 14 years in the Deer Valley District. I am looking forward to providing an exciting and rewarding physical education program for your child. My number one goal is to develop positive attitudes towards a lifetime commitment and enjoyment to fitness and sport. The P.E. program consists of activities that encourage physical fitness through team sports, recreational sports and fun fitness activities. The focus will be not only on performing the motor skills, but also on knowledge, teamwork and sportsmanship. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call or email. I look forward to a fun and healthy year in P.E.

    Sincerely,
    Coach Chance

PE Home Learning Goals: My goal is to keep the students active in a variety of ways. Knowing that each student's situation will be different, each assignment will have a couple options for your student to choose from. I will provide a simple activity that will include being active though play or excercise and will also give an alternative assignment that will be a more in depth. I want to keep this is as simple as possible for your student but also want to emphasize the importance of fitness/excercise in our current situation. If you have any questions feel free to contact me through email or my virtual office hours. My email is ryan.chance@dvusd.org and my virtual office hours will be from 2:00-2:30 daily. Thank you and I hope you and your family are staying safe and healthy during this time.
