    DVUSD Mission Statement for World Languages

    The Mission of the World Languages programs in the Deer Valley Unified School District is to provide extraordinary language and cultural opportunities and to create world class, fully articulated World Languages curriculum which will enhance the future success of students in a global and technologically advanced society.

    The Deer Valley Unified School District offers language learning opportunities in French, Mandarin, and Spanish.

                                                             8th Grade Spanish 1-2 Class Mission Statement

    Mrs. Marcus’ 8th grade Spanish 1-2 class will learn Spanish by listening attentively, working cooperatively, completing assignments, following directions, and displaying punctuality and perfect attendance.

                                                                                   Learning Goal

    By the end of the academic year, 100% of 8th grade Spanish 1-2 students will meet or exceed the 8th grade Spanish standards as measured by a score of 75% or better on the Spanish Final Exam that we will take at the end of 1st and 2nd semesters.
