• IMPORTANT HOME LEARNING INFORMATION:::

    Parents as we embark on this home learning experience there are some important pieces of information that you need to know. The first is that all home learning work will be posted in the assignments tab on my webpage AND on the first grade webpage. Please be sure to check it every week to keep your child current in their learning. You can access the first grade webpage by following these steps: 1. Go to Norterra Canyon School Webpage 2. Click on Academics 3. Click on 1st grade

    Some activities they will need assistance with, but some can be done independently. Please do not stress about doing everything, just do what you can do! Per district the weeks of April 6 and April 13 are review weeks. No new content will be put out. The recomended amount of time for home learning for 1st graders is no more than 2 hours per day. 

    I have created a Home Learning Tips tab on my webpage that contains some more helpful information for you. :-)

    I will have virtual office hours beginning April 6, Monday - Thursday from 10:00-10:30 and 2:00-2:30.  Virtual office hours will be held through the online platform Zoom. I  have included the links to these virtual office hours in an email to you. For privacy purposes, please do not share the links. Please be sure you are using the link to the correct virtual office hours that you want to join. You may need the meeting ID and password to join the meeting, so please keep those handy. If you want to join in on my virtual office hours you will need to highlight the link of the meeting you want to join, right click, and then click "go to....". This should take you to the meeting on Zoom. The virtual office hours will provide a time for myself, students and parents to chat, ask questions, and connect. There will be multiple families in these meetings. If you have something that you feel needs to be addressed one on one please schedule an appointment with me. I am available by appointment 8:30-2:30 as long as I  am not in another virtual meeting/training or PLC. I am also available by email for questions, concerns, and checking in. :-)

    Please be checking the district website regularly to stay up to date on information coming from the district. Also, if you are not receiving the emails and/or phone calls from district office or from the school, please send me your correct contact information so that I can get it to the correct people. It is extremely important that we have a way to contact you and get you the information. Also, if you do not have the technology needed for the at home learning or do not have internet, please let me know so I can forward that information on as well.
