    DVUSD FUTURE FRESHMEN
     
    Transitioning from elementary school to high school is a big event in a student's life.  Information to help parents and students navigate this transition is provided on this page. 
     
    NEW FOR THE GRADUATING CLASS OF 2022!  Beginning in the 2021-2022, all students will be required to take at least four courses during both semesters of their senior year. The courses can be taken on a DVUSD campus, with Deer Valley Online Learning, with other DVUSD flex learning options, or at a WestMEC program facility.  This updated policy represents the district's commitment to prepare students for college and career and to provide a more comprehensive educational experience during our students' senior year.     Each high school in the district will offer a Future Freshmen Night in November.  Information about registration, programs, and courses will be presented.  For dates and times, click on the Future Freshmen Night link in the menu bar on the left. Future Freshman Night Flyer Coming Soon!
     
    Registration information, including honors placement guide, electives information, and audition dates/times for performing arts courses are included in the Registration link.
     
    Meet the Coaches Nights are held at the high schools during Future Freshmen Night or during the spring. Click on the Freshmen Athletics link.
     
    Incoming 9th graders are encouraged to participate in summer opportunities for freshmen.  Click on Freshmen Summer Opportunities link for dates and times.
