DVUSD Governing Board
Deer Valley Unified School District is governed by a five-member board of trustees elected by popular vote to alternating four-year terms. The DVUSD governing board consists of a president, a vice-president and three members. The president and vice-president are elected in January by fellow members and serve in that capacity one year. Board members must reside in the Deer Valley District.
Operating within the laws of the state legislature, and the rules and regulations of the state Board of Education, the board sets policy for the management of the district. The superintendent and district staff are responsible for the execution of these policies.
Through effective policy and decision making, we lead and empower Deer Valley Unified School District to provide and continuously improve upon a world class educational system that prepares our students to successfully compete in the global economy.
