21st Century CCLS
Overview of the 21st Century CCLC Grant
This federally-funded program supports before and after-school community learning centers that operate on school campuses statewide. Services typically include academic intervention and enrichment activities along with a broad array of youth development opportunities and parent/family programs. These extended-day and summer classes complement the student's regular school day program. 21st Century programs mainly serve students and families at Title 1 schools. Classes are designed to help students meet the core standards in language arts and math. Other educational services are offered to family members of students in order to further engage them in their child's learning.
At Constitution, assessment results are utilized to select students for participation in the program. Each student selected will be provided with registration information and may only attend with parent permission. All students in the program attend Monday thru Thursday after school. Participation in the program is free-of-charge.
