Information on Home Learning

  • Dear Students and Families,

As I am sure you are aware, DVUSD has transitioned to Home Learning for the remainder of the school year. This is a new format for all, and as your teacher, I have been busy learning lots of new ways to help you stay connected from home.

I miss every single one of you, and would much rather see you in person. We will get through this together. In an effort to keep you learning, I have created a weekly lesson plan below that can be followed from home.

Children may need assistance at first with learning how to copy, paste, or click on links to complete assignments. If at any time students have a difficult time logging in or completing an assignment you can send me an email at mikailah.sherman@dvusd.org. I check this regularly. You can also join one of my office hour times on Zoom to ask questions, get clarification, or check-in. These are Monday through Thursday. More information on my office hours are below. Please note that if you are in gifted, have an IEP, or in the ELL program your teachers also have separate virtual office hours for any questions or concerns. You can find their times on their personal websites as well.

As we embark on this journey together, please do not hesitate to ask questions, give feedback, and let us know how you and your family are doing. Please take care of yourselves and be safe and healthy! You are missed!

    With much teacher love,

    Mrs. Sherman
