             Fall Food Drive for St. Vincent DePaul Food Bank

    The Sonoran Foothill School chapter of the National Junior Honor Society is collecting non-perishable foods and winter clothing items to benefit St. Vincent DePaul Food Bank. We are seeking; Toiletries, Peanut Butter, Bottled water, Baby Formula, Cereal/Oatmeal, canned veggies, soups, Rice, Pasta, Canned Beans, Chili, Jeans, Jackets, Socks, Breakfast/Protein Bars.

    Drop off in any classroom or in our lobby. 

    The grade level that donates the most will win an OTTER POPS PARTY!



     Our NEXT member's meeting is Wednesday, November 14, in 507 at 12:35 for lunch. It is helpful if members can bring their sack lunch so we can begin on time and get out for recess. Please bring your member booklet. Congrats to our new slate of officers. Good luck in all you do this year. President Zoe Miller, Vice President Lexi Connor, Secretary Wyatt Ortale, Sargent at Arms Kiarra Briggs, and Historian Cole Johnson.

    Chapter meetings are held in 507 at 12:35 (middle school lunch period). On meeting days PLEASE bring your lunch to eat so we can start the meeting without delay and finish ASAP to allow recess time.

    10/10; 10/31; 11/14; 11/28; 12/12; 1/9; 1/23; 2/13; 2/27; 3/13; 3/27; 4/10; 4/24; 5/1; 5/15.


    All members are encouraged to log service hours over the summer to get a head start on your required minimum of 20 hours for each school year.


    All members are encouraged to contemplate which organizations they want to serve and how their service will make an impact. There will be new elections for the 2018-19 year officers as well as several new committees. 

    Membership fees are due, $20.00            NJHS T-shirts for new members are $20.00


    NJHS Membership Requirements:
    7th & 8th grade status
    3.5 minimum GPA
    20 hours minimum of community service a year (Must be linked to a non-profit, can be before or after school)
    Students need to attend all NJHS meetings; allowed 2 unexcused missed meetings (Absences from school are excused)
    If a student will miss a meeting, they must complete a form  and hand it in BEFORE the scheduled meeting in order to communicate this missed meeting with me, the advisor. The PDF of the form is below.
