Hello and welcome to my class homepage. It is going to be an amazing year full of learning and exciting adventures. I could not be more excited! Many amazing opportunities for learning await! Every day will be full of collaboration, cooperative learning, and engagement that allows students to make the most of their learning environment while building strong character and a postive community in the classroom. My goal is to provide the tools students need to be successuful in their learning, as they set goals and work hard to reach them. A great recipe for a student's success requires a partnership between the teacher, student, and parents/guardians. My goal is to teach them the importance of respect, responsibility, perserverance, and problem-solving. I want them to know they are valued and work hard to do their best every day.
Please feel free to contact me by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 623-445-8449. I am also available through your child's agenda or Class Dojo if you have a simple question or comment you would like to share. What a great year this is going to be!
Homework is every night, except Friday. Math homework will go home with students in their folders daily and needs to be returned the next day. Reading is expected every night for at least 20 minutes. A reading log for the week will be in their folders for parents or guardians to initial that their reading requirement has been met for each day. I will collect all reading logs every Friday. A weekly "self-reflection" log may also be turned in every Friday for 5 Class Dojo Points. The reflection log is not a requirement but is highly encouraged because it creates an opportunity for students to recognize purpose in their daily learning and to reflect upon their knowledge.
