This year in ELA, your student will improve their literacy skills in a variety of ways. Some of our main objectives include learning how to analyze a variation of arguments, narratives, and explanatory texts through reading, writing, and speaking. Through the use of our textbook and other preselected novels, the students will improve their vocabulary, increase their ability to interpret complex readings, and build reading and writing stamina.

In Social Studies, your student will explore a variety of topics ranging from Early Humans, River Civilizations, Rise and Fall of Classic Civilizations, Renaissance and Reformation, and World Religions. Students will be using their textbook, carefully curated resources, interactive activities, and projects to think analytically, read critically, and communicate cogently about the topics that we will discuss and learn throughout the year.
