We are very excited to have you as a part of our fifth grade family. We are going to do some great things this year and will have a lot of fun along the way. In 5th grade homework is an opportunity for students to practice and reinforce skills learned in class. On a typical night, students should expect to spend 45-60 minutes on homework which includes 20 minutes of reading. Homework will count as 10% of the grade, tests and quizzes will count as 60% and classwork will make up the remaining 30%. Late work will be accepted up to one week after its due date.  At that time, the assignment will receive partial credit when turned in.  If the assignment is not turned in, it will be marked missing and will be issued a grade of 40%.
