Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Alycia Dragomir

Mrs. Dragomir grew up in Fargo, North Dakota and moved to Tempe at the age of 18 to study instrumental music education at Arizona State University. Upon graduating, she taught 5th grade, 6th grade, and junior high bands for 6 years. Mrs. Dragomir is very excited to be teaching 1st, 3rd, & 6th grade general music  as well as 1st - 4th grade piano lab classes at Terramar this year!

Mrs. Dragomir is a professional saxophonist who has a passion for performing and teaching both the classical and jazz genres. She was the tenor saxophonist for several years in Tempe Winds (formerly known as the Tempe Symphonic Wind Ensemble) and she directed junior high jazz bands for a few years as well. Currently, she has a very active private saxophone/flute studio, plays her instruments in her church's band, and sings in the choir. She is a part of all her ensembles with her husband, Abel Dragomir, who is the choir director at Mountain Ridge High School.

Mr. & Mrs. Dragomir have three sons, David, Isaiah, and Abel. Every morning, she teaches her music classes and is truly honored to be a builder for the amazing band, choir, and string programs at Terramar Academy of the Arts. Musical minds are “soaring to the top" in Mrs. Dragomir’s room!
