Welcome to 6th Grade! I am excited to begin this school year with you and your children. This is my third year in the Deer Valley School District, and my tenth year teaching. I am so happy to be a part of this wonderful community.
This year, your children and I will be exploring some amazing math concepts; improving problem-solving skills, and reaching higher-level thinking. My goal is to facilitate a safe learning environment, and encourage my students to think beyond basic calculation procedures.
We will also be learning about topics like: the Scientific Method, changes in environments, functions of living systems, Matter, Motion and Forces, and many more!
This website is intended to be a resource for students and parents whilst at home. You'll find websites that I encourage you to explore. Students and parents can use them to help with homework and extend learning. You will also find important dates and assignments on this site.
