My name is Mrs. Wilson and I am delighted to be your teacher this year. Welcome to 2nd grade at Esperanza Elementary School! Your room number is 409. I hope you’re as excited as I am to start the new year full of learning and laughter. We will have so much fun learning together this year!
This year will be my second year teaching at Esperanza Elementary school and I can’t wait! Here’s a bit of information about me since we will be spending so much time together soon. I have been a teacher for 7 years and this year will be my 8th! I have taught 4th, 3rd, and 2nd grade and 2nd grade is BY FAR the best! I am married and I don’t have any children. I have a very large family and most of them live in Las Vegas, Nevada which is where I am from. When I am not teaching, I like to watch movies, go shopping, and exercise. I can’t wait to meet each and every one of my new students and learn more about all of you!
Parents, I am also looking forward to meeting you soon. Parent communication and involvement is key to a student meeting their full potential and I am passionate about ensuring that I have a strong relationship with all of my students’ families. Throughout the year you will be receiving many more letters, text, or emails from me and I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I look forward to building a bond of support and communication with you.
If you are wondering what to bring the first week of school, I made a short list to get you started on the back of this paper. The school will provide your child with any supplies that you are not able to purchase, but I appreciate any donations that you can provide. If you need assistance with your child’s supplies, please let me know as soon as possible so that I can make arrangements.
