Welcome to 5th grade, mathematicians and families! This is my fourth year at West Wing as a teacher, though my own children have been fortunate enough to attend our A+ school for the past six years. Before teaching at West Wing,  I taught math methods courses to future teachers at Arizona State University. Prior to that, I was a middle school assistant principal, a math coach for K-8 math teachers, and a third and first grade math and science teacher.

As your math teacher, I will collaborate with you to continue to grow and develop your thinking, problem solving, and reasoning skills while encouraging and growing your love of math. I believe that every student should have access to rigorous math learning, and I will always urge you to stretch yourself so that you become the best 5th grade math student that you can be!
