Welcome to Desert Mountain Technology!

Technology is a specials area course offered to Kindergarten through 3rd grade students at Desert Mountain School.  Students will come to the Technology Special every day for 3 weeks for 45 minutes each day.  In Technology, students will sharpen their problem solving skills, they will build their understanding of the device they will use - a Google Chromebook - and the applications that can be found on that device.  Students will be introduced to computing systems, networks and the internet, and the impacts of computing.  Students will also have the opportunity to understand how computers aid in the collection, interpretation, and analysis of data.  

Technology students will use several software programs, including typingclub.com and code.org, to enhance their keyboard recognition and help them gain introductory coding skills.
