• bonjour & bienvenue

Bonjour!  My name is Mrs. Larsen.  I am so excited to be at Norterra Canyon teaching the language that I love, French. Our theme for this year is, “At the Restaurant”.  My focus is to install the love of French in a fun environment with a hands on approach.

At the K-2nd grade level, we will be learning through modeling, repetition, games and music.    My goal is to speak French in the classroom at least 90% of the time.  It will be amazing to see how much young minds are able to absorb a new language!

If you would like to encourage language learning and growth at home, there are several YouTube videos/cartoons offered online in French.  You can try changing the language settings on movies or DVDs.  The Phoenix Library also carries several Picture Dictionaries and a few lower level storybooks.

I am looking forward to getting to know all the students.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions you might have.  Email is the best way to contact me since I am only on campus part time.

    Donations

Our classroom can always use Kleenex, paper towels and disinfectant wipes.  We would also gladly accept:

    • Two pocket folders (each child should have their own. RED- kindergarten, BLUE- first grade, GREEN—second grade)
    • White tissue paper
    • Playdough
    • Felt (at least 30 pieces of beige, plus black, white, gray, red, brown, green, orange, yellow)
    • Small pot/pan (anything for our restaurant theme)

    Thank you!

     Mrs. Tara Larsen
