Mrs. Whitlock is a native Arizonaian!

With 13 years teaching in High School Special Education courses, 10 of which in TSW! I will be bringing to Barry Goldwater a passion for student development and asperation aquisition. Every individual has a desire to be apart of our community and find a place to make a difference. Transitioning into adulthood is a challenge we all have to go through and with the supports from our community every student will find their success. This is my 5th year in Deer Valley District and I have 7 years experience in the Mesa district. I'm excited everyday to be apart of the Deer Valley family and start developing new connections. My extensive experience has provided me the oppertunity to be a team lead for multiple PLC's, Transiton Expo events and STEPS research teams. I'm eager to learn more about where I can be of help in our school family. 

I was born and raised in the white mountains of Payson. Outdoor adventure and being one with nature is where my heart roams. Family and extended family is a big part of my life and hobbies. I have 2 adult boys who I keep track of in Flagstaff. We stay active in Cross Country, Golf, Choir, Automachanics, Gardening, Painting, Boy scouts and Venture Scouts. I love animals and have 2 dogs, a snake and a cat. I am married to my high school sweat heart and will forever be.
