     Hello Parents,

     

    My name is Jason Walrod, and I am an 8th grade science teacher here at Hillcrest Middle School.

    I am originally from Minnesota, but have lived in Arizona for the past 28 years now. My path to becoming a teacher was a long one. Originally working in the business world with a degree in Finance for the first half of my working career.  After a lay off at my last job I began working as a substitute teacher in the Deer Valley district. A few short years later and several trips to the Department of Education I now have my teaching license. I am also the 8th grade Baseball coach here at Hillcrest. My passion for coaching is really what has lead me to teaching. Now I teach baseball and science.

    Baseball season has been moved, it is now a FALL sport.  Baseball camp is August 9th - 11th. TRY OUTS will be August 16th-18th.
