• Esperanza Music Academy Encourages All Students to Develop Their Love of Music

    • Keyboard composition in the music lab begins in 1st grade
    • Violin begins in 3rd grade
    • A Music Delivery Model with exposure to all instruments occurs in 4th grade
    • Chorus and Handbells begin in 4th grade
    • Band begins in 5th grade
    • All student listen to the Brummitt-Taylor Listening program daily which highlights classical composers and builds music appreciation

    Top 20 School - We are a school that uses the Top 20 Social Emotional Program to teach valuable coping skills and skills needed to be successful in and outside of school. Please visit the Social Emotional Program page listed under Our School for more information about this program. 


    After and before school Program: 21st Century

    This is a grant provided by the state. Students who qualify for the program can participate before school at 7:45am and/or after school until 5:30pm. Please visit the 21st century page under the Our School section for more information on this program. 


    Lobo Closet: A self provided donation closet with many items from basic toiletries, clothes and small appliances that are free to families in need in our school community. Open on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from 3:45-5:15pm. The closet is located on campus right behind the Learning Media Center (LMC).


    Student Council: 5th and 6th grade students

    Students participate in running for student council and can also be a class representative. They attend occasional before school meetings. Plan events like spirit week, dances, can drives, pennie wars etc. For more information please visit the Student Council page.
