Ms. Cynthia Snapp
Hi Mirage Students and Families,
I sure do miss you all during this unprecidented time of social distancing due to the coronavirus. I have added to my parent resources page some resources that I hope may be helpful during this time. I am checking my email and dojo daily, so please feel free to message me and let me know how you are doing.
I miss being able to see your faces each day! I also miss going to yoga and sitting outside at a coffee shop! I have been walking our three dogs a lot more and have been playing lots of hide of seek with our 7 year old boys.
Let's keep in touch during this time so that we don't feel alone and remember we are going through this together albeit separately. :)
Sending good health your way!
Hi Mirage Families! My name is Cynthia Snapp and I am so excited to be the School Counselor at Mirage Elementary. I am extremely grateful to have the opportunity to work at Mirage Elementary with all of the amazing students and their families. This is a dream job for me as I feel being able to connect with students about social and emotional skills is not only paramount to their education but to their well being as a person. I am available to students through class lessons, small groups, and individual sessions. I learn from the students every time I meet with them and am continually impressed by their desire to understand themselves and those around them. I have worked with students as a classrroom teacher, in various social work programs, and as a school counselor. I have a bachelor's degree in special education and elementary education and a master's degree in counseling. In my free time I can be found in hot yoga classes and with my family, which includes my partner, our 6 year old twin boys and our three wild and crazy pups.
Please feel free to email me at Cynthia.Snapp@dvusd.org or call me at (602) 467-5370 if you have any questions or would like to chat about your child joining a group or individual sessions!
