Julie Stockwell

Julie Stockwell
Retired as a public school educator after 40 years
Resident of the Deer Valley community for 45 years

Active in the public and nonprofit service sectors
Committed volunteer in the work to pass DVUSD’s override election

Julie is running for Deer Valley’s governing board because, in a district that has consistently had wonderful success in every area of education, it needs a school board member who is knowledgeable about the work it does in order to help it strategically plan for the future. Maintaining those levels of success while also honestly identifying areas that need improvement and how to improve will take hard work and time.

Julie has been a student in public schools, taught in public schools, trained and coached teachers for public schools, and fought with many others to protect funding for public schools. If she is elected, identifying and meeting the needs of current and future students in Deer Valley to help them become successful, contributing citizens will inform any questions she asks of district officials and every voting decision she makes in school board meetings.
