Charge of committee: Deer Valley Unified School District has been accepted to the Assessment Inventory National Network (Achieve.org) in an effort to help us ensure we have a high quality, aligned, and streamlined assessment system to support student learning. It is our belief that to help our teachers and administrators improve teaching and ensure that students get and stay on track to succeed at all grade levels, we need a systematic strategy to implement a clear, coherent and aligned system of high-quality assessments. A key component to this project is engaging stakeholders to help review individual assessments, analyze the assessment suite, and recommend next steps.
Specifically, this committee will provide recommendations to district leadership. The goals will include:

Membership Requirements:
The Assessment Strategy Project will have a tiered committee structure.
1) A Core Leadership team consisting of Dr. Galligan, Ms. Borgeson, Ms Hyland, and Dr. Smith.
2) A Working Expert team consisting of the Core Leadership, Ms. Monica Allread, and a group of CIA Specialists.
3) A Stakeholder committee consisting of school administrators, teachers, students, parents, business partners, and post-secondary partners.
Representation from administrators should reflect a cross-section of school type and region. Representation from teachers should reflect a cross-section of school type, region, and student sub-population (GenEd, SpEd, ELL, Gifted, and Special area).

Meetings:
We are planning three meetings with a possibility of one added on at the end.
Meetings are in the Governing Board Room.
