DVUSD Bond Ratings Affirmed by Fitch and Moody's
The Deer Valley Unified School District’s AA- rating was affirmed from Fitch Ratings for school improvement bond projects of 2013, series C (2019). Moody’s Investor Service has also affirmed Aa2 rating for 2019. Both ratings were affirmed due to the district’s improved budgetary control measures that enabled the district to operate with positive reserve levels compared to many peer districts in the state and demonstrates stability over the last several years primarily through positive fund balances. Moody’s upgraded their Rating Outlook to "Stable" with this review. With these ratings, DVUSD expects to receive a better interest rate on the bonds it sells.
