Jayme Fitzpatrick has been working in Career and Technical Education in DVUSD since 2005 . She earned a Master’s Degree in CTE from NAU and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from SUNY at Stony Brook. Prior to becoming CTE Manager, Jayme taught Business and Marketing at Deer Valley HS for several years. Ms. Fitzpatrick’s business experience includes entrepreneurship, in addition to eleven years in the private sector working in both international and small business environments. Jayme currently serves as an ACTE national fellow's mentor and Secretary of the ACOVA board. Jayme has participated in the San Francisco Federal Reserve Education Advisory Group, New York Stock Exchange fellowship program for educators, the Wharton School of Business Financial Literacy program for teachers & administrators and the West-MEC Industry Update program to stay current with the needs and demands of business and industry. Ms. Fitzpatrick has been recognized as Arizona CTE Administrator of the Year in 2021, received the NAF Janet Linton Leadership Award in 2021, and was recognized as  Arizona DECA Administator of the Year in 2020, Jayme is a member of the National Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE), ACTE AZ, and Arizona Council of Occupation/Vocational Administrators (ACOVA). Ms. Fitzpatrick is passionate about preparing DVUSD students for tomorrow’s careers by providing real-world industry-based experiences with state-of-the-art technology and equipment in each and every CTE classroom.
