  • Dear Village Meadows Community,

On behalf of the teachers and staff at Village Meadows Elementary, we wanted to personally reach out to let you know that you and your family are in our thoughts during this challenging time. As of now, all Arizona schools are closed through the remainder of the school year.  Our number one priority is to make sure our students, staff and community remain healthy.  All up to date information regarding the school closure is available at  www.dvusd.org/COVID19

Our next priority is to ensure that all students have access to effective instruction and curriculum during the school closure. We are actively working on both online as well as paper/pencil options to allow all students to continue their learning during this time. We will continue to communicate plans for instruction and learning. Please make use of both the district and school websites for up to date information. (www.dvusd.org & http://villagemeadows.dvusd.org )

For families who may need a device for their child or who need a low/no tech solution, such as paper packets of instructional material, we have set Thursday, April 2, and Friday, April 3 for parent pick up of these items. Additional information will be provided soon regarding the procedures for parent pick up of a learning device or paper packets.

Your Village Meadows administrators and teachers will be available via email beginning on Monday March 30 to answer any questions you may have while district and school offices remain closed. Village Meadows will also be a site for food distribution Monday and Thursday 10:00Am - 12:00Am.  Please see the following link for all school sites distributing food  www.dvusd.org/food

We cannot stress enough, though, that our top priority is for everyone to remain healthy. We realize that the school closure is difficult for all involved, but it is important that we work together to keep all our Village Meadows families safe. Thank you for your patience and continued support. We will get through this together.

    Be Well,

Melissa Weinman, Principal and your entire Village Meadows staff
