I was born and raised in Arizona.

Went to Scottsdale Unified School District:
Elementary - Tonalea
Middle - Supia
High - Coronado

Then I went to Arizona State University, Tempe Campus, and got a Bachelor's Degree in Teaching Secondary History.

This is my fourth year of teaching. My first year was at Salt River High School on the Pima-Maricopa Indian Reservation. I taught American History to all of the 7th and 8th-grade students.

This is my third year at Deer Valley Middle School.

I have been married to my husband, Norman, for four years now. We have been together for 9 years.
I have one stepson, Jacob, who is 12 years old. I also have a son, Mark, who is now 8 years old.
