Return to Learning
Students that will start the school year learning virtually and then return to campus once it is deemed safe, will encounter 2 styles of learning. See the definitions below.
Definitions:
Synchronous learning is real time online learning. Students interact with the teacher in a specific virtual place (Zoom), through a specific online medium (Canvas), at a specific time (Communicated Schedule).
Asynchronous learning does not occur in the same place or at the same time. As long as students have access to the internet and a specific online medium (Canvas), asynchronous students can complete course materials, as laid out the the teacher(s), and from any location.
