AP Review Sessions

Hello,

I hope you are well amidst all the uncertainty. This is undoubtedly a challenging time that continues to impact daily routines, test dates, and students’ uncertainties about their study schedules.

In light of the recent changes to the AP exams, Kaplan is hosting review sessions for the three weeks leading up to AP tests

How have the AP exams changed?
Due to the pandemic, AP tests this year will be 45-minute, at-home exams with only free-response questions (no multiple choice).

What are the Kaplan AP review sessions?
The new AP review sessions are a combination of targeted content review and strategic tools for answering free-response questions to help students prepare for this year’s unique test.

  • Targeted content review: Teachers will cover broad themes and help students make connections between different topics (one of the skills necessary for these longer-form free-response questions).
  • Free-response question practice: The sessions are full of practice free-response questions, so students can try out what they’ll see on test day.
  • Format: Students can join the live class, or watch a recording later if they’re unable to attend.
  • Supplemental resource: When students sign up for review sessions, they will also receive a Kaplan AP eBook for additional study.

What are the AP exam session options?

  • AP World History
  • AP US History
  • AP Biology
  • AP Psychology
  • AP Human Geography
  • AP Calculus AB

When will these sessions run?
Each exam option includes 12 sessions that run for one hour, four times a week from April 13 to April 30.

Time (EST) Monday - Thursday, 4/13 - 4/30
2:00 - 3:00 PM Biology
3:00 - 4:00 PM Psychology
4:00 - 5:00 PM Human Geography
5:00 - 6:00 PM Calculus AB
6:00 - 7:00 PM US History
7:00 - 8:00 PM World History

How much do the sessions cost?
Your school can sign up for one exam option (12 sessions) for $3,000 or your school can sign up for all access that includes all six exam options (12 sessions per exam) for $5,000.

Between the new AP exam format and widespread school closures, we know many students are looking for ways to prepare for the AP tests.
