Important Freshman/New Student Dates

Welcome Class of 2026!!

[And new students to Mountain Ridge]

Even though more detailed information will come out soon, we want to make sure you save two important dates for incoming Freshman before school starts:

Monday, July 25th - (For both Freshman and new Mountain Ridge students)

Freshman and New Student Walk Through

The morning of the 25th, students will be assigned a window of time to come in to:

  • Get their ID picture and card
  • Pick up schedules
  • Pick up and set up their school issued iPad
  • Get their student/family athletic pass and get athletic information/forms
  • Purchase some great MRHS swag from StuGo (Student Government)
  • Get answers to any transportation/bus questions you might have
  • Meet with counselors about any schedule issues

The following is the assigned time breakdown based on the student's last name:

High School 101 Presentation

At 6:00 that night you are invited to come to the auditorium to meet our administrators and learn more about Mountain Ridge, the school policies, and practices that will make all students more successful.

[Note, if your family will be out of town, do not worry as we will have a way for you to get your ID, schedule changes, iPads, etc at a later date. If just the student is not available, the parents are more than welcome to come to both of the events to get the information and pick up the iPad.]

Tuesday, August 2nd [Freshman Only]

Freshman First Day

This optional 1/2 day before the official first day of the school year is a great opportunity for all Freshman to learn about Ridge and get pumped up for a great year! At this event they will learn about events, clubs, athletics and all the ways to make high school an incredible time. Each Freshman will be assigned a group and mentor where they will have some awesome breakout sessions with other students to learn how to be successful in high school.

This is an absolutely wonderful, up-beat, fun morning to kick off the school year. The cost is $25 and will come with lunch and a Freshman spirit shirt.

Again, much more information will be posted the first part of July but we at least wanted you to know what was coming up - keep checking back for updated information and an email will be sent to all families as soon as everything is ready.
