PSAT Information - All College Bound Sophomores and Juniors

PSAT Letter

Registration for the PSAT test is now open. The PSAT test is recommended for all college bound junior and sophomore students and will be administered on the SDOHS campus Saturday, October 19th at 7:45am. The test allows students to prepare for the SAT, receive feedback on strengths and weaknesses, and to provide focus for their remaining time in high school. It is also is the qualifying exam for the prestigious National Merit Scholarship Program.

Fee is $25

Students will find their testing room posted on the 600/700 building the Friday before the test.

Benefits of PSAT Testing

  • Prepare for SAT test (higher scores could help with college admissions and/or scholarships)
  • Receive feedback on strengths and weakness to determine focus areas for remaining time in high school in order to prepare for college study
  • Compare performance with other college-bound students
  • Enter the National Merit Scholarship competition (juniors only)
  • Receive information from colleges with the Student Search Service (optional)

Test Day Information

  • Arrive by 7:30am
  • Bring a valid picture ID
