a live Zoom Meeting for

Curriculum Night

Plan for 1 hour or less as our kindergarten teachers share with you key learning goals for your kinder student’s success. Moreover, how you can enjoy this time of virtual learning with your child.

Individual questions may arise, please email questions to your child's teacher and we will happily respond by email or schedule a phone conference.

Topics will include:

Canvas resources

A phenomenal resource that houses pre-recorded instruction for all kindergarten subjects. The platform is interactive with your classroom teacher as she monitors and responses to assignments submitted daily.

Dreambox for math

A math tool that provides individualized, interactive and self-paced activities. This fun tool utilizes a variety of math strategies and resources to develop understanding and mastery for students, with a skill range  K- 3rd grade.

iRead for reading

iRead is new for Deer Valley students as we begin using the Into Reading curriculum.  The iRead program provides application and practice for many of the targeted skills in Language Arts including alphabet, phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary and comprehension. This online resource; as all Deer Valley online resources, is accessible through the DV Portal for your student’s safety.

The daily class meetings are achieved through Zoom live video conferencing. Teachers and classmates assemble for reading, math and small group instruction throughout their academic day.

These 4 instructional resources present families with a wide variety of methods to access meaningful instruction. During Curriculum Night, develop a better understanding of how all these exciting tools enable the Kinder Crew and you to bringing outstanding academic instruction to your kindergarten student.
