Returning to Campus After Winter Break

Posted by Caleb Hadley on 12/10/2020

DVMS Parents,

I am proud to say that at Deer Valley Middle School we have had no COVID cases on campus since we returned from Thanksgiving. But, cases throughout the district have been on the rise. Due to rises in COVID cases throughout our district, DVUSD finds it best that we return to online classes after Christmas break. This is an attempt to keep COVID from spreading. Here are some things you need to know:

1) We will continue with in-person classes on campus until Friday, December 18th (next Friday)

2) We will have online classes beginning Monday, January 4th through Friday, January 15th

3) Students will do their classes on Canvas like they did in the fall, being live with each teacher at the class time

4) At this time, we are expected to return to campus for classes on Tuesday, January 19th

5) If you do not have internet access, please let us know by taking the survey, using the link at the end of the email

6) Please make us let us know if you could use a food box during this time as well

We will supply more information next week as needed. Please take the survey at the following link so that we know how best to meet your student's needs: https://forms.gle/LdR2ZZU7kRU6NtJd8

We are here to serve you during this time. Please stay tuned for more emails and posts on our DVMS website throughout next week.

Sincerely,

Scott Backus
