Updated: September 1, 2022
Public Application Form (included in the picture below) Applications for District Committee participation remained open from September 1st, 2022 - September 21st, 2022, at 12pm for all stakeholders to apply if they were interested in participating on our adoption committee. This committee is charged with looking at all materials vendors have sent in, and reviewing them based on our curriculum guides and state standards to be the best instruction for our DVUSD students. These materials will be narrowed down to just those the committee feels meet their expectations and will acquire more information and vendor presentation before choosing their semifinalists. Once this part is completed, the semifinalist materials in all the different grade bands will be opened for public review. That feedback will be used to determine final recommendations to the board.
Due to the overwhelmingly positive response in committee applications, we conducted a name-picking lottery for the K-2, 3-5, 6-8, and HS grade bands. Videos are posted of this process on the right. Members selected and alternates will be notified on September 23rd, 2022, along with information to all who participated about when the materials will be open for public comments, so we can be sure to hear all voices in our community. Thank you so much to everyone who applied!
